Comment: Even global companies that talk about having a great “family” culture can loose their way through out of control growth and commercial arrogance.
It seems like the coordination and communication within senior executives and local managers was broken apart here by an overbearing, disconnected and “fly by the seat of your pants” top leader.
Leaders should never forget, that at the end of the day, the decisions that they are making cannot and should not be done in a vacuum. They have to embrace and get buy in and support from those that do the “real work”. Because if you don’t, they just end up looking stupid, selfish and tone deaf!!
Employees say they don’t know who will be cut next and are frustrated by jokes and lack of answers during an all-hands. “We can’t sleep at night.”
