Foundations look solid for students
STUDENTS at a Skegness college have been rewarded for their efforts and achievements over the past year.
Skegness College of Vocational Training celebrated the successes of around 60 learners aged up to 19 years old who have completed both educational and vocational qualifications as part of the Foundations Learning programme.

LEARNING SUCCESS: Skegness College of Vocational Training held a presentation event at Skegness Rugby Club last week, recognising the achievements of their students.
The college operates two sites on Grosvenor Road and Lumley Avenue and students gained qualifications in subjects including English, ICT, Sports Leadership, Construction, Catering and Childcare.
Foundation learning managers, Julie O’Donnell, said: “We have four centres delivery Foundation Learning courses in Lincolnshire and I am proud of the way our staff, support and mentor each young person, helping them reach their full potential.”
Some students have already gained full -time employment, apprenticeships and the chance to move into further education as a result of their achievements.
Students Fay Bateman and Stephen Finch received special awards for Student of the Year and the Sunnydecks Shield for the Most Improved Student respectively
