Find out how apprentices can help you
I’M personally delighted with the response to this year’s 100-in-100 apprenticeships campaign in the Nottingham Post and would like to express, on behalf of the chamber and the business community, my gratitude to all of the employers which have backed the campaign so far.
Last year, the campaign encouraged the creation of more than 160 new apprenticeships and this year, we look set to smash that target and get even more.
The key to the success of this campaign is the way that several key organisations in Nottingham have worked together in true partnership to raise the profile of apprenticeships and promote their benefits.
The chamber, the National Apprenticeship Service, the Post and the Nottinghamshire City and County Employment and Skills Board have put in a tremendous amount of work to get businesses on board and backing the campaign.
But we are extremely grateful for the support of Nottingham City Council in facilitating the free apprentice employers event next Wednesday and also to Gedling Borough Council, which helped us launch this year’s campaign back in March.
There’s still plenty of time left for businesses to take on an apprentice and pledge it to the campaign.
Every pledge counts and will take us closer towards our revised target this year of 200 apprentices.
