NORTHUMBERLAND College in Berwick is opening its doors at all four Berwick centres next month to offer information and advice about the wide range of courses and apprenticeships offered locally.
All four of the college’s centres will be open for the public to drop in on Wednesday, May 9 from 10am to 7pm.
The main centre is situated at Adams Drive, Spittal, the construction centre is at Ramparts Business Park and the Simply Students hair and beauty salons are situated in Berwick town centre.
Courses are available in subjects including beauty therapy, business and administration, construction, early years, foundation learning, hairdressing, health and social care, hospitality and catering, IT, travel and tourism.
Tutors will be available at the centres to talk about the full and part-time courses and apprenticeships beginning in Berwick in September and those who find the right course for them will be able to apply straight away.
For some people courses may be free, or you may be eligible for financial support to help with costs associated with learning such as childcare and travel.
The following week the College will be offering the public the chance to attend bitesize taster courses and pamper sessions at Berwick Library as part of Adult Learners’ Week 2012. Book on 01289 302446.
The buying and selling on the web courses takes place on Tuesday, May 15 and 22, 9.30am-12.30pm and the holistic therapy taster course takes place on Wednesday, May 16 from 1pm-4pm. Each course cost just £5 per person.
